The new Aardvark R.W.T. 75 S & The R.W.T 100 trenchers are available worldwide for contract trenching.

The R.W.T. 75 S & R.W.T. 100 S machines are generally used for rock trenching work capable of trenching in most rocks with the exception of igneous rocks such as granite or basalt. It can also be used to trench through concrete as a concrete saw & asphalt too.

Essentially they are a civil engineering tool for installing linear underground utilities such as fibre optic cable, water supply pipe, electric cable, control cables & wick drainage. The machine is also useful as the centre of a "trenching train" for sports turf drainage projects on football pitches & golf courses.

Our in house designed & built equipment can trench in a wide range of soil & rock conditions, however, the equipment fights shy of working in wet clay with no stone content at one end of the spectrum & igneous rock cutting at the other. All geological strata between these two extremes is well within the capability of our trenching machine equipment.

In soft soils with a 5 - 10% stone content we can cover 400 - 600m ph

In hard soils with a 10 - 20% stone content we can cover 300 - 500m ph

In slate & shale geological areas we can cover 200 - 350m ph

In sandstone & limestone geological areas we can cover 150 - 300m ph

Spoil can be left as a "Linear molehill" to the right hand side of the trench for dozing back in later or conveyed away via a conveyor & site dumpers for mixing with soil stabilising agents etc.

This type of trencher is reliant on a high specification, modern farm tractor as a prime mover. Tractor specifications must include a "Vario" style transmission & high three point linkage lift capacity. The trenchers' digging motion is P.T.O. powered from the rear end of the tractor.
